Adnan Rehmatullah

Principal, Investments

Prior to Iron Skillet Partners, Mr. Rehmatullah was the Chief Investment Oﬃcer of Brookdale Capital Management, LLC from 2014 to 2019 where the investment team eventually became exclusive to a large family oﬃce. Prior to Brookdale, Mr. Rehmatullah was a Director at Crestline Investors, Inc., a multi-billion-dollar alternative investment manager based in Fort Worth, Texas. While at Crestline, Mr. Rehmatullah was Head of Strategy for Event Driven, Merger Arbitrage, Reinsurance and Multi-Strategy hedge funds.

Mr. Rehmatullah received an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, a BBA in Finance and a BS in Economics from Southern Methodist University.

Hardin Sullivan

Principal, Investments

Prior to Iron Skillet Partners, Mr. Sullivan was a Partner at Brookdale Capital Management, LLC from 2014 to 2019 where the investment team eventually became exclusive to a large family oﬃce. Prior to joining Brookdale, Mr. Sullivan was Director of Alternative Investments for a high-net-worth single family oﬃce. Mr. Sullivan was previously with Crestline Investors, Inc., a multi-billion-dollar alternative investment manager based in Fort Worth, Texas, where he was responsible for opportunistic investment strategies and a portion of the ﬁrm’s credit strategies.

Mr. Sullivan received a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Texas Christian University.

Taylor Esquibel, CFA

Chief Financial Officer

Mrs. Esquibel joined Iron Skillet Partners in 2021 as financial controller and Director of Finance. Prior to joining Iron Skillet Partners, Mrs. Esquibel was a Senior Finance Manager at Bass Family Office where she monitored investment portfolios for multiple high-net-worth individuals. Prior to this, Mrs. Esquibel worked at BBT Capital Management (“BBT”), a multi-billion dollar hedge fund based out of Fort Worth, Texas. While at BBT, she served as a Securities and Derivatives analyst, a long/short equities analyst, and was Head of Risk Management for all portfolios within the fund.

Mrs. Esquibel received a BBA in Finance from the University of North Texas and is a CFA charterholder.

Karen Gawley

Administration

Ms. Gawley joined Iron Skillet Partners in 2022 as an Executive Assistant. Prior to joining Iron Skillet Partners, Ms. Gawley was a Senior Executive Assistant at Tabani Group where she focused on mergers and acquisitions in commercial real estate multi-family purchases. Prior to working as the Senior Executive Assistant at Tabani Group, Ms. Gawley was a Human Resources Generalist and Executive Assistant to CEO at Medcillary Medical Group from 2014 to 2017.

Ms. Gawley received a BBA in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management from The University of North Texas and holds a (PHR) Professional in Human Resources certification.

Drew Shepard

Operating Partner

Mr. Shepard joined Iron Skillet Partners in 2020 as Operating Partner leading the growth of its portfolio company, Carnation Auto Spa, to 21 locations and over 400 employees. Prior to joining Iron Skillet Partners, Mr. Shepard has been an owner/operator as well as business development consultant and investor in Flex style car washes in DFW since 2014. Prior to Mr. Shepard’s car wash management roles, he worked for 10 years in commercial banking and private equity with a focus on structured credits and real estate.

Mr. Shepard received a BS in Informatics from Indiana University.

Talbott Zink, CFA

Senior Analyst

Mr. Zink joined Iron Skillet Partners in 2025 as Senior Analyst. Prior to joining Iron Skillet, Mr. Zink was a Corporate Development Manager at Lexitas, where he led diligence, underwriting, and execution for acquisitions in the litigation support services sector during a five-year tenure. Earlier in his career, Mr. Zink was an Investment Associate at Turtle Creek Management, a Dallas-based registered investment adviser, where he led public equity research initiatives.

Mr. Zink received a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University and is a CFA charterholder.
